The 2021 Kilgore Station Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for Aug. 27-28 in Cross Plains.  Featured acts include the Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, King’s Highway, Ridgetop Ramblers, Luke Munday Band, and more. Nearly a dozen Tennessee counties are cleaning up after tornadoes touched down.  Tornadoes were reported in Davidson, Robertson, Cheatham, Sumner, Trousdale, Jackson, Smith, Dekalb, White, Bedford and Cumberland counties yesterday.  The National Weather Service says the tornadoes are believed to have been EF-0 with winds between 65-and-85-miles-per hour. A suspect is in custody and an investigation continues into the death of a man at the Salvation Army on Kraft Street In Clarksville.  The suspect is identified as Corey Allen from Sevierville.  He and the victim both stayed at the Salvation Army on Saturday night and the homicide happened on Sunday.  The identity of the victim has not been released. The attached garage behind a Greenbrier home became a fireball last night and investigators think a neighbor’s doghouse was the trigger. At this stage if the investigation, it appears that an electrical cord for a heat source ignited the doghouse which in turn ignited the fence between the two homes.
