Police in Springfield  are asking area residents to be on the lookout for 21-year-old Jacob Patton.  He is a suspect in a  July 9th burglary and theft incident on Kirby Street in Springfield. Tennessee's top COVID vaccine official is out of a job.  Dr. Michelle Fiscus was fired yesterday.  Dr. Fiscus was the medical director for vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization programs for the Tennessee Department of Health.  Fiscus says she believes she was fired due to political pressure over efforts to vaccinate Tennessee's kids. A national blood shortage is impacting Tennessee.  The American Red Cross says the state is short 27-hundred pints of blood.  The shortage has been brought on by fewer people donating since the coronavirus outbreak started and the rescheduling of elective surgeries that were put off over COVID-19 concerns.  Some hospitals say they're trying to combat the shortage by having more blood drives among their employees.
