The City of White House has a $12.4 million Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation loan to improve water infrastructure. The money will address the wastewater treatment system. The loan has a 20-year term at 0.91 percent interest.

A Tennessee man suspected of being involved in unrest at the U.S. Capitol Building is under arrest.  FBI agents arrested 30-year-old Eric Gavelek Munchel in Nashville yesterday.  Photos taken last Wednesday show Munchel masked and carrying zip ties inside the Senate chamber.  Munchel is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Governor Bill Lee says the state is working with President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team.  On Friday, Governor Lee said he had spoken with officials for Biden’s transition team last week.  Lee says he hopes Biden’s administration will help provide COVID-19 relief to Tennesseans.  He says the state is dealing with a limited supply of vaccines and a high rate of new infections.

The Charlotte Reeves Robertson Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter has some National DAR Society Scholarship opportunities.  They are in varying dollar amounts for different areas of study – for high school students going to college, and for graduate school and professional school programs. Interested students may check out information on the National DAR Society Scholarship website:  dar.org. Applications must be submitted through the online portal, and a verified transcript from the applicant’s current school must be included.  Applications will be accepted through January 31st.

Robertson County residents have some fresh information available to them online.  You can now check your status regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.  The timing of when people are eligible to receive the vaccine will depend on the county and vaccine supply, but now users can be notified about their vaccine phase.  And if you enjoy fishing, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is back with its trout restocking program.  The program provides winter trout fishing opportunities to folks who don’t normally have them.  Details on all of this information can be found online at TN.gov.

If you bought a Powerball ticket in Nashville, Rockvale, or Pulaski, don’t throw it out until you take a look at it. Tickets to Saturday’s Powerball drawings sold in each if those locations match four or five white ball numbers and the red Powerball and are worth at least 50-thousand dollars.  The identities of those who bought the tickets are not yet known.

The season is over for the Tennessee Titans.  The Titans lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 20-13, in the Wild-Card round of the NFL playoffs at Nissan Stadium yesterday.  Titans star running back Derrick Henry ran for just 40 yards on 18 carries.  Henry had rushed for nearly 330 yards against the Ravens during two previous games.
