Officials confirmed one body was found following a Friday morning plane crash near Crossville, which is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). A spokesperson for the NTSB says that the preliminary information in the investigation suggests a Cessna 150F crashed in a remote wooded area 20 miles northwest of Crossville at approximately 10:22 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Fentress County Emergency Management Agency Director James Bilbrey said that one body was recovered from the crash site.

A Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) game warden recruit died Friday after a medical emergency during a training exercise. Kentucky State Police (KSP) said the agency-involved incident occurred at the Game Warden Academy in Barren County. The preliminary investigation indicates that Game Warden Recruit William “Tex” Bailey, 24, of Richmond, experienced a medical emergency during a training exercise. Police said KDFWR officers rendered aid to Bailey until first responders arrived and transported him to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A traffic stop in Mt. Juliet led to the arrest of a man wanted for a child sex crime and a convicted felon who had four handguns, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD). Police said they stopped a vehicle for a signal violation on Sunday night and discovered a 40-year-old Nashville man with active warrants for two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a minor dating back to Oct. 4. Also in the car was a 60-year-old convicted felon from Murfreesboro in possession of four handguns, MJPD said. Police said that one of the handguns had been stolen in Humboldt, TN, in 2020.
