Beech High School’s head football coach, Anthony Crabtree says that the current bleachers they have are just temporary. These temporary bleachers were supposed to be replaced by new, permanent bleachers by the beginning of the football season in September, now it’s October 4.

In August 2023, some of Beech’s bleachers collapsed the night before a football game. Luckily, no one was injured. According to Sumner County Schools, the collapse was caused by a heavy amount of wind and rain. The director of Sumner County Schools says the new bleachers aren’t ready yet because the steel was not able to be fabricated in time. Sources at the school say some work is now being done with most of it scheduled after the football season.
