While busting a house party, Cheatham County authorities found multiple Nashville felons, two of whom were out on bond for murder or attempted murder charges. On Monday, Sept. 30, Metro Police called the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office with a possible location for a violent offender Metro was seeking. Authorities went to the house, where as many as nine people were inside for what turned out to be a birthday party. Law enforcement secured the scene and cleared the multi-level home. Authorities began asking for identifications and quickly located the MNPD target, Jordan Pritchett who was wanted for criminal contempt, stalking, child endangerment, criminal trespassing, aggravated assault, and order of protection violation.

A community pillar in Portland was laid to rest on Wednesday. Parnell Suttle, known simply as “Ms. Parnell,” passed away Sunday, Sept. 29 at 98. She was a lifetime Portland resident. From working in the strawberry industry that defines the city, to working at the county jail well into her 80s, Suttle is most remembered for her cakes, which she would bake for all people and any occasion. She earned the moniker “cake lady” by the community.

A 7th grader from Goodlettsville Middle School was arrested Thursday after standing in front of his class and announcing that he plans to “blow up the school.” There are no further details regarding the 14-year-old’s announcement or whether there was a plan to carry out an act of violence on campus. He is now charged with making a threat of mass violence and will be in Juvenile Court.

Movies are returning to Clarksville, Tennessee at Governor’s Square Mall with a luxury twist. On Wednesday, city officials announced a new partnership with Phoenix Theatres. The independently-owned movie theater signed a long-term lease to offer newly released movies and high-quality amenities at Governor’s Square Mall as soon as the summer of 2025. Phoenix Theatres, a Michigan-based company, plans to invest $5 million to renovate the existing theater in Clarksville, which has already been submitted.
