The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed human remains were found at a Lebanon home where authorities said they were searching for a missing person last week. The search was related to the disappearance of 23-year-old Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana, who was last seen at her Antioch apartment in August. However, authorities have not confirmed the identity of the remains. Orellana was reported missing by her mother on Aug. 21. However, the last time anyone saw her was a few days earlier on Aug. 18. According to her mother, the 23-year-old said she was going to Murfreesboro to visit a family member.

Donelson residents feel helpless after learning the owner of a piece of land near them taken over by the homeless won’t ask them to leave. Police could force the homeless out if the landowner would evict the squatters, but for now, he won’t. The property owner’s decision not to enforce evictions relieved people living in the camp, but that’s left the rest of the neighborhood furious.
Two Hartsville residents were arrested following a “disturbance” at a middle school football game. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-olds James Brewer and Jessi Harris were taken into custody after a physical altercation at the end of the game between Winfree Bryant Middle School and Satterfield Middle School Tuesday. The incident reportedly began as a verbal dispute but escalated into a physical confrontation. Both were transported to the Wilson County Correctional Facility, where they were booked and later released on bond.
Volkswagen has recalled more than 99,000 vehicles because the doors could open unexpectedly. The recall affects some 2021 through 2024 ID.4 vehicles. The door handle could leak, allowing water to get onto the circuit board assembly, and allowing the doors to open unexpectedly. All of the work related to this recall will be done for free.
