Authorities in Montgomery County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 80-year-old woman. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said 80-year-old Retta Bluedorn was last seen at a home in the 2500 block of Highway 48 around 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15. She is believed to be traveling in a blue 2007 Ford Explorer. It remains unclear which direction she is headed. According to the sheriff’s office, she may exhibit signs of dementia. If you see Bluedorn or her vehicle, you are asked to call 911 to report her whereabouts immediately.
The rain didn’t stop the 4th annual Recovery Fest Saturday afternoon in Cheatham County. The event, hosted by the Quintenn Clark Foundation, was held at River Bluff Park in Ashland City. Recovery advocates, musicians, and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office all joined in to help raise awareness for alcohol and drug addiction. The event raised $38,000, which will go towards helping various groups who provide treatment and lifesaving services.
The victim in a Clarksville shooting earlier this month has died, prompting authorities to arrest one person on homicide charges. The Clarksville Police Department said that the victim, 18-year-old Lebanon resident Carlos Wills, was taken off life support. An investigation identified Za’Kwon Jaterrion Holiday of Clarksville as the suspect. Clarksville authorities secured a homicide warrant for his arrest. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) assisted Clarksville police and Holliday was apprehended during a traffic stop in Nashville on Friday evening.
Tommy Cash is dead. The museum announced that loved ones and fans worldwide will deeply miss Johnny Cash’s brother and a renowned performer in his own right. Tommy played with more than just his brother, performing with the likes of Hank Wiliams Jr. before landing a record deal in 1965. He was one of Johnny Cah’s five siblings. Tommy Cash was 84.
