Wilson County school officials and law enforcement have investigated about half a dozen false school threats since Wednesday morning, one of which led to the arrest of a local teenage girl. Authorities determined the Wednesday morning Snapchat threat — which reportedly came from Knox County and was not directed towards Mt. Juliet Middle — was non-credible. Then, on Wednesday night, a new threat surfaced on TikTok implying it would happen Thursday. Mt. Juliet High School also went into lockdown Thursday afternoon after someone reportedly thought they overheard comments. The district said the lockdown was brief and ended after an investigation of the building.
An Alaska Airlines flight was delayed after multiple tires were flattened before takeoff at Nashville International Airport (BNA) Thursday morning. Passengers were seen departing the aircraft with the flattened tires while it was on a tarmac at BNA. Maintenance crews inspected the tires amid multiple airport police officers surrounding the plane.
The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department recently purchased several items that will support its Special Operations Division, thanks to a $500 grant from Harbor Freight. Items purchased included storage boxes for dive equipment, sitting platforms to allow safety and backup divers to sit at the water’s edge with dive equipment donned, pop-up canopies to allow dive tenders and backup/safety diver to be out of the sun/inclement weather during operations and rechargeable LED spotlights & upgraded LED spotlight pods for dive and rescue boats.
no matter how bad things get at work they probably don’t get this bad: California’s Modesto Fire Department said crews battling a vegetation fire in Stanislaus County faced a secondary hazard when thousands of bees fleeing the blaze took up residence on their trucks. Officials said several firefighters were stung, but no major injuries were reported. The crews used water to convince the bees to buzz off.
