Sebastian Rogers disappeared in February from his family’s home in Hendersonville. His family was in court for a YouTuber by the name of ‘Bullhorn Betty’, who is accused of harassing and stalking Sebastian’s mom and step-grandparents in violation of an order of protection. The brief hearing ended Tuesday with the judge saying the matters would be heard on Thursday, October 10.
A member of the Gallatin City Council is accused of trying to intimidate people with his concealed firearm during a Sumner County Commission meeting last month. Councilman Shawn Fennel, former Councilman Jimmy Overton, and other community members said that Councilman Pascal Jouvence patted his gun while looking at them, in a show of intimidation. This comes just a few months after Jouvence was accused of bullying a former councilwoman, who resigned due to his alleged actions. A police report was filed on the incident, but the Gallatin Police Department did not share additional information about the state of its investigation on Tuesday.
A bill to ban cell phone usage during school will soon be up for debate in Tennessee, again. HB 2758 moved through the legislature in early 2024 but failed when members of the House Education Administration Committee were split in their vote. One of the sponsors of the bill, Rebecca Alexander out of Jonesborough said she plans to re-introduce the bill, because, in her words, Sometimes it’s a matter of educating everyone on the need for the bill and the importance of it. A concern, still, is removing the instant connection between parents and students.
A man was taken to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville late Monday night, after being shot in the head. The shooting happened near the Dollar General off Ash Ridge Drive, The man’s condition has not been confirmed by Clarksville Police A gun was reportedly left on the ground after the shooting and police say they secured the gun.
