Police in Hendersonville remind residents about the importance of securing their valuables, even when working out inside a fitness center. This warning comes after a series of auto thefts, one directly related to keys stolen from the Planet Fitness club in the city. On Sunday, someone pretending to be a club member who lost his keys managed to get into an unsecured locker at the facility. Inside the locker, he reportedly found keys used to steal a Ford Flex. Meanwhile, the suspect — whose picture was captured clearly at the front desk — arrived at the gym in a Jeep reported stolen out of Nashville.

The former treasurer of the White House Heritage Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization allegedly misappropriated thousands of dollars from two dances. The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office says the PTO treasurer took at least $8,000 from two father-daughter dances, including entry fee donations, concessions sales, silent auction proceeds, and photography fees from the May 2022 and 2023 events. Investigators identified collection shortages of at least $1,265.87 related to various other events and fundraisers sponsored by the PTO. No records reportedly exist to reconcile these discrepancies, and neither the former PTO treasurer nor other PTO officials could explain them.
