An attempted traffic stop in Mt. Juliet led to a brief police pursuit Sunday afternoon, which resulted in the arrest of a convicted felon and the recovery of multiple guns in Lebanon. Officers said they had noticed a car being driven with one wheel on the rim and stopped it for suspicion of impaired driving. The driver — described by Mt, Juliet police only as a 39-year-old man from Nashville — initially complied, but he allegedly provided a false license before fleeing the scene. The pursuit of a car from Mt. Juliet to Lebanon ended after a “minor-injury vehicle crash” in front of Publix on West Main Street. However, MJPD said no injuries were reported from the minor collision.

Soldiers, Airmen, and friends of the Tennessee Military Department gathered at Nashville’s Joint Force Headquarters on Aug. 16 to celebrate and honor the Tennessee National Guard’s 250th birthday. The Tennessee National Guard’s origins trace back to before Tennessee became a state.
