A 22-year-old man has been charged for his connection to a crash that left two women dead and another person injured at the intersection of Gallatin Pike and Cude Lane on Saturday night. Investigators say Giovanni Bolstad was traveling in a Jeep Cherokee on Cude Lane out of Rivergate Mall when he ran a red flashing light and crashed into a Ford Focus on Gallatin Pike. Bolstad was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, and driving on a revoked license. According to booking records, he is being held in Metro Jail on a $332,500 bond.

Reports of bullying involving sex or gender-based discrimination increased by more than 50% in Wilson County Schools in just one year. According to the report from the Wilson County Director of Schools, the number of reported bullying cases involving sex or gender-based discrimination has increased from 28 reported cases in 2023 to 44 in 2024.

The mother of a missing Middle Tennessee teenager said she’s being stalked by a YouTuber who’s covering the case. Sebastian Rogers disappeared five months ago from his family’s home in Hendersonville. Interest in the case has been nationwide, but now Sebastian’s mother, Katie Proudfoot, indicates it’s gone too far. She just got a temporary order of protection against YouTuber Andra Griffin, who is called ‘Bullhorn Betty.’ The petition for an order of protection was filed last week in Sumner County with the sheriff’s office. Andra Griffin cannot come within 100 feet of Katie or her home.

Meanwhile, the teenager accused of killing a Middle Tennessee girl has been transferred from juvenile court. On July 3, human remains, later identified as 17-year-old Trinity Bostic of Macon County, were discovered off a state route in Hendersonville. The prime suspect, a 17-year-old unidentified male, will be tried as an adult and is in the custody of the Sumner County Sheriff. The juvenile judge set his bond at $2 million with supervised bond conditions if he were to post it. Additionally, he is not to contact any member of the victim’s family.
