The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and the Mt. Juliet Police an arrest in connection to the late June shooting and robbery at the Cedar Creek Marina. 40-year-old Adrian McLean is believed to be one of the suspects involved in the robbery and fatal shooting of 27-year-old Bailey Gardner, at the Cedar Creek Marina and Restaurant. The sheriff’s office said Gardner had no associations with the suspects involved.

A family in Clarksville is not happy with the education and resources their son has been receiving at the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The family and those who work closely with the boy claim the district made up the student’s behavioral data to avoid sending him to an out-of-state specialized school. Jaden is deaf and also has mental health and behavior concerns. While Jaden attended The Tennessee School for the Deaf for several months, he was sent back to his home-zoned school, Montgomery Central Middle School. Rodriguez says he had no consistent deaf interpreter until the end of the school year, which his mom says led to behavioral problems at school.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has announced plans to establish a freestanding emergency room to expand healthcare access in the growing White House community. The hospital will apply for a Certificate of Need with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission in a bid to better accommodate a town that has more than doubled in size since 2000. The new ER will include 11 treatment rooms, a trauma room, an imaging department, a nursing station, and space for support staff.

A new Christmas movie adapted from Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 classic, “Little Women,” is filming in Williamson County this month. The movie is called “A Little Women’s Christmas,” directed by Brandon Clark, and it’s set to premiere on the Great American Family network this holiday season. According to the network, “A Little Women’s Christmas” is a contemporary retelling of the novel, following the lives and loves of the March sisters in a small Tennessee town at Christmas.
