A young Middle Tennessee man is facing charges related to the brief disappearance of a teenage girl from Eastern Kentucky this week. The Perry County Sheriff’s Office, a minor was reported missing from the Delphia community of Kentucky around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday by her father and sole guardian. On Wednesday, officials stated that 18-year-old Thomas Charles Lange of Lebanon, Tennessee — was spotted returning the girl to the same area where she disappeared. When told by witnesses that law enforcement would arrive at the location soon, Lange reportedly sped away. Lange was found charged with kidnapping and custodial interference in connection with the minor’s temporary disappearance.

TriStar Health announced its approval to build a hospital in Spring Hill. The 68-bed, $250 million acute care hospital will be constructed on the same site as the existing TriStar Spring Hill emergency hospital and will offer a range of services. More than 1,100 people wrote letters of support for the hospital project, including many Spring Hill elected officials, according to TriStar. More details about the project are expected to be released within the next few months.

Crucial to crops in Tennessee and honey producers, beehives are a lucrative target for thieves. And a new law now makes it a felony to steal a beehive. Several hives have been stolen from here in Middle Tennessee in recent years. Each mature hive had more than 20,000 bees and gallons of honey. If you get caught stealing a hive it’s now up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Clarksville will celebrate July 4th on July 3 at Liberty Park. The event will be free and open to the public. The park will open at 5 p.m., with activities and music beginning at 6:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with the fireworks show at 9:10 p.m.
