Authorities have launched an investigation into a deadly overnight shooting at a Clarksville bar just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. Police say it happened inside Smooves Bar and Grill in the 2100 block of Ft. Campbell Boulevard. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the midsection. An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
Three first responders were injured fighting a fire that ignited at a Clarksville tire shop Sunday morning. Clarksville Police say the fire was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. at the Wheel Shop located in the 1600 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Clarksville Fire Rescue said three firefighters were brought to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. No additional details have been released about the blaze, the cause of which is still under investigation.
The life and legacy of Mandisa, a Grammy-winning Christian singer and former “American Idol” contestant, were honored in Brentwood on Saturday by family members, friends, and fans. The Franklin Police Department said 47-year-old Mandisa Hundley was found dead in her Beamon Drive home on Thursday, April 18, adding that there was no indication her death was the result of suspicious or criminal activity.
