A Cheatham County soccer coach is arrested at the soccer fields at River Bluff Park in front of kids and families. Jesse Daniels who had his young son in the car told officers he was late for picture day with his team. Daniels was clocked doing 27 miles per hour in a 10 mph zone. When the officer approached, Daniels began yelling loudly, calling the officer names, and using vulgarity in front of his own son. As it turns out Daniels’s long criminal history. Governor Bill Lee’s proposed school voucher bill is dead for the year after the House and Senate could not negotiate certain stipulations. The Senate said they had no issue with how schools administered tests. However, the House wanted a pullback from end-of-course exams and other tests to increase instruction time. Governor Bill Lee expressed his disappointment regarding the “death” of the bill during this legislative session. The General Assembly is expected to adjourn the legislative session on Thursday
An investigation is underway after a man was found dead outside a Clarksville Walmart Monday morning. Clarksville police reported an unresponsive man was found inside his vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives say it appears that the man died from a “medically related incident” and no foul play was involved. Call Clarksville police if you have any information.
Christian singer Mandisa died at her Nashville home on Thursday. She was 47. The Franklin Police Department says it is continuing to investigate the death of Mandisa who was found inside a Beamon Dr. residence. Police report at this time, there is no indication the death was the result of suspicious or criminal activity. Mandisa was a member of the Fisk Jubilee Singers and a former American Idol contestant.
