Two men are wanted for questioning after allegedly taking advantage of a blind woman in Murfreesboro. Investigators say the two men knocked on the victim’s door claiming to be police officers and that they had a search warrant. The victim allowed them in. Later the victim’s debit card was used to make multiple fraudulent withdrawals at an ATM inside a Mapco on Memorial Boulevard. Police said the suspect(s) also made several fraudulent Cash App transactions.  There are pictures of the wanted men on the Murfreesboro police website, and contact information on who you need to call if you recognize them

Tennessee Republican lawmaker Jason Zachary has filed a bill that would make it a felony for adults who help pregnant minors get an out-of-state abortion without a parent’s consent.  The legislation would charge an adult with a Class C felony who ‘recruits, harbors, or transports’ a minor out-of-state for an abortion or for obtaining medication for an abortion. This does not apply to parents or legal guardians. Another of the new bills introduced in the General Assembly includes adding more punishment for officers who do not turn on their body-worn cameras.  Currently, they’re charged with a Class C felony for the offense which means the offense carries 3-15 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. If the new bill were to pass it would also add a Class E felony charge on top of that which carries 1-6 years in prison and a fine of around $3,000.
