At least one person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash that temporarily blocked off Interstate 65 North in Robertson County. Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed there was one fatality from the crash, which troopers are currently investigating. No additional details have been released about the incident.
Two Nashville teens face burglary charges after they were discovered by Mt. Juliet Police in a Goodwill parking lot with allegedly stolen items. Mt. Juliet Police say the teens were “acting suspiciously” and while investigating police say they discovered multiple credit cards, keys to different cars and marijuana on the teens. Bothe suspects are 14 years old and were charged with crimes related to burglary, possession of stolen items, and marijuana possession.
A man was arrested in Bowling Green, accused of sexually assaulting an employee at the Wingate Hotel. Authorities said the victim told them a man entered the front lobby and tried to sleep on the lobby furniture, so she asked him to leave. That’s when he reportedly jumped over the counter, physically assaulted her, forced her into a sexual act, and fled the hotel a few minutes later. 25-year-old Johnson Dukuly Lloyd is in jail and charged with fourth-degree assault, first-degree rape, and second-degree fleeing/evading police on foot.
A woman was arrested after causing a multi-vehicle crash, stealing a Metro Nashville police van, and leading officers on a chase. It all began at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Anthony Street in Hermitage. Police say as they were checking for injuries in the crash, 47-year-old Bridget Johnson, who allegedly caused the crash, got into the driver’s seat of a Crime Scene Investigation van and drove off in it. She was captured a short time later.
