Five service members from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment based in Fort Campbell reportedly lost their lives when a military aircraft crashed into the eastern Mediterranean Sea Friday evening.  According to the U.S. European Command the aircraft “suffered a mishap” during a routine air refueling mission that was part of military training. The aircraft crashed into the sea, killing all five service members on board.

Police are still on the lookout for several suspects after an online marketplace meetup Friday night resulted in a shootout at a popular Mt. Juliet shopping center.   The Mt. Juliet Police Department said it responded to the Target parking lot at Providence Marketplace after reports of gunfire, including a bullet that hit the window of a nearby Red Robin.  Police said they learned a Smyrna man and his wife drove to the parking lot to sell a firearm to someone they met online, and the man was ambushed by another person who began to shoot at him. That’s when police say the seller grabbed a gun out of his car and began firing back. Three suspects took off in an SUV, which was captured on license plate readers and found later that night in Nashville.  Police said a father and son have been arrested after officers spent hours at a Clarksville apartment complex following a Friday afternoon shooting that left two people injured. The Clarksville Police Department said a 911 call came in shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Friday about a shooting at the Cumberland Manor Apartments.  On Saturday, Nov. 11, just before 12:30 a.m., authorities reported that 27-year-old Arnell Wilson and his father, 54-year-old David Wilson, both of whom are from Clarksville were taken into custody. They’re charged with five counts of aggravated assault after they both fired a weapon toward a group of people at the apartment complex. Their bonds have been set at $1 million each.
