Spring Hill water customers are being asked by the city to stop all non-essential water usage, including irrigation activities, until further notice.  The advisory comes as a result of “unforeseen mechanical issues” with the municipal and regional water systems, which the city says require “immediate attention and maintenance.”  The city says they will provide updates or changes regarding the irrigation advisory as new information becomes available..

A Cheatham County Schools bus route will not be able to run Tuesday and Wednesday as the school district is faced with staffing issues and other logistics. The school district said bus route 53/21 will not be running Tuesday, Sept. 5 and Wednesday, Sept. 6, but will resume service on Thursday, Sept. 7.  Students who ride Route 53/21 and attend Pleasant View Elementary School, Sycamore Middle School, and Sycamore High School are affected.

The labor movement has racked up some big wins the past few months. A new study shows increasing support for labor unions.  Although labor might be stronger in 2023 than it was a decade ago, Gallup finds it still pales in comparison to the post-WWII when union-approval reached a high of 75%, and pay gaps were smaller.

Dream Weaver” singer Gary Wright is dead.  His son Justin Wright says his father died in California at home in Palos Verdes Estates. Around five years ago, Wright was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and not long after Lewy Body dementia. He is most well-known for his 1970s songs “Dream Weaver” and “Love is Alive.”  Gsry Wright was 80.

Check your freezer.  Conagra Brands is recalling more than 245,000 pounds of frozen Banquet chicken strip entrée products. The food could potentially be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically plastic pieces, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  Affected products were produced on June 20, and July 11 and 17.  If you have any of these items, you’re advised to either throw it away or return it to the store where you purchased it. Consumers should not eat the affected products.

First lady Jill Biden tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday, at the end of a three-day weekend she had spent alongside President Biden.  So far the President has tested negative.
