An excessive heat watch has been issued for portions of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky on Thursday. It will feel more like 105 to 115 degrees Thursday and Friday. This could even extend into Saturday.
Millersville police are warning motorists if you drink and drive over the Fourth of July Holiday, you could go to jail. Lt. Bob Watson, says over the last 23 days, Millersville police officers have arrested 10 DUI suspects in the city and on Interstate 65 which slices through the town. He says officers have already matched last year’s DUI arrests with 25 so far, and this year is only half over.
A woman was seriously injured after her SUV was hit by a train at the Thompson Station Road tracks in Spring Hill around 8:00 yesterday. She was pushed 500 feet down the tracks.

The poverty level for seniors in Tennessee is the highest it’s been in more than ten years. Many of them are unable to keep up with inflation costs. The National Council on Aging reported the poverty rate for people 65 and older rose from almost nine percent in 2020 to more than ten percent in 2021. In Kentucky, it’s almost 12 percent.
Ryan Seacrest was named the next host of “Wheel of Fortune” thus week succeeding the longtime host Pat Sajak in 2024. Vanna White, Mr. Sajak’s longtime “Wheel of Fortune” co-host, is under contract for another year, and is in negotiations to continue with the show,
