NASCAR’s traveling road show rolls into Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for its third annual tripleheader – three days of thunder in its three touring series – with the eyes of the racing world glued on Gladeville.  The action begins Friday at 7 p.m. with the Rackley Roofing 200 Craftsman Truck Series race followed by Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. Xfinity Series Tennessee Lottery 250. Sunday’s Ally 400 main event is scheduled to roll off at 6 p.m. and will be nationally televised on NBC.

The upcoming season for the Robertson County Players continues with a production of the classic Broadway musical “Once Upon a Mattress.”  Performances are in the Innovation Academy of Robertson County auditorium in Springfield are Friday and Saturday at 7PM with a Sunday Matinee at 2PM. Authorities are investigating after a vehicle crashed into an Arby’s restaurant overnight in Goodlettsville.  It happened around 1 a.m. at Arby’s on Conference Drive.  Surveillance video appeared to catch a man and woman fleeing from the scene shortly after the crash which remains under investigation.

Janae Edmondson, the Smyrna volleyball star who lost her legs after being hit by a car in St. Louis, threw out the first pitch on Saturday night’s Nashville Sounds game.  Smyrna and surrounding areas have rallied to show their support, raising more than $800,000 to help the family with medical bills.  Edmondson graduated high school in May of this year and was set to play college volleyball before the crash. Instead, she will now be MTSU’s team manager.

It’s been less than a month since the last day of school in Montgomery County, but Clarksville authorities have already responded to more than 200 calls involving minors, including several minors who ended up being arrested for violent crimes, like homicide. 43 minors were charged in connection with nonviolent criminal activity, such as curfew violations, vehicle burglary, joyriding, criminal impersonation, and traffic violations.  Police say there’s an 11pm to 6am curfew for minors
