A mother faces a DUI charge after a crash with an eight-month-old child in the car. The crash happened on Millersville on Saturday afternoon on Interstate 65 and ended in a high speed rollover. Two adults and the infant girl were pulled from the wreckage around 4:15 p.m. There were no life-threatening injuries. Twenty-eight-year-old Samantha St. Andrews was charged with DUI and child endangerment. Police believe she “was swerving in and out of traffic, probably at close to triple-digit speeds.”
New charges are now pending against a former Lebanon bus driver convicted of sex crimes against children. Authorities say Stephen Massey was arrested again last month after previously serving five years behind bars. The new criminal complaint includes a count of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, among other charges. He was arrested on April eleventh and is now released on one-hundred-thousand dollars bond..
Three Montgomery County schools have resumed normal operations after a gun incident Tuesday Morning. Sheriff’s officials say someone reported seeing a male student dressed in black, and carrying a gun, at Rossview Elementary. It was immediately put on lockdown, and nearby Rossview middle and high schools were placed on a lockout. Sheriff’s officials say no threats were found.
The city swimming pool in Portland will not open this year due to needed repairs. The pool is 50 years old and several leaks have been detected, which makes it a safety issue. The cost of renovating the pool could be from $500,000 to $750,000. But the cost of building a new pool would be much higher..
