Transgender children in Tennessee could soon lose their access to gender-affirming care.  That’s after the state Senate yesterday passed a ban which looks to ban the care by 26 votes to six.  It would stop medical professionals from giving transgender minors treatments which have the purpose of enabling them to live with an identity inconsistent with their sex.  It now moves on to the House where it is scheduled to come up tomorrow.

Tennessee Senator Jon Lundberg has proposed a bill that would create a new statewide alert when a domestic abuse victim is reported missing.  Known as the Gabby Act, it would issue a Purple Alert from the TBI if someone is missing and is known to be the victim of domestic abuse.  It would utilize the same system as an AMBER Alert.

Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti has joined 21 other state AGs in trying to stop the legalization of sending abortion-inducing drugs through the mail.  In a recent filing, the AGs say that recent action by the Biden Administration and the FDA are an effort to evade state laws.  There has been a push to try and make the drugs more available, including by mail.  Those against it say that violates both state and federal laws.
