Cases of the flu are already popping up across Tennessee. Flu season has only just begun but CDC data shows the state is among the highest for infections across the country. Health officials believe this may show people have their guard down after years of social distancing and mask wearing which helped stop the spread of the flu. Doctors say getting a flu shot can help protect you and those around you from coming down with the virus this winter.
Leaders in Hendersonville are asking for input from the public on a plan to revitalize West Main Street. Citizens are invited to attend a meeting with the planning commission at 6:30 this evening at Gene Brown Elementary School. The current proposal would create three distinct districts with housing, commercial space, and entertainment areas, among other improvements. The City of Lebanon is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the new sports complex project. The event is planned next Wednesday at the site on Murfreesboro Road from 10 to 11 a.m. The first portion of the development will include five soccer fields, including one made of artificial turf, a playground, walking trail, and concessions and restroom facilities. The project includes the city’s first fields dedicated to youth sports in more than 20 years.
