A Mount Juliet man is facing charges after authorities say he intentionally rammed two police cruisers. The incident happened on Alsdale Road during a domestic dispute investigation last night. The 21-year-old was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No one else was hurt, according to investigators.
Dozens of firearms are off Middle Tennessee streets following Saturday’s ‘Gift Cards For Guns’ event. Metro police say 76 weapons were surrendered, including 45 pistols. The police department partnered with The Nashville Predators Foundation and Greater Revelations Missionary Baptist Church to host the buyback. In addition to gift cards, those turning in guns also got Predators preseason vouchers..
The Robertson County Historical Society is gearing up for “The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James Festival” This Saturday. An old, Wild West bank robbery reenactment on the Springfield courthouse square is the highlight of the event. The festival, which is in its second year, celebrates the 36th Anniversary of the 1986 film, The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James, in which several scenes were “filmed in and around the Robertson County Courthouse and Orlinda.
