Authorities say a home is destroyed after a Saturday afternoon fire in Montgomery County.  Crews responded to the property along Superior Lane around 4:00 p.m.  Officials report a firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital after suffering minor injuries at the scene.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Another Middle Tennessee school student is hurt after being hit by a car.  Authorities say a Clarksville teen was struck while running across Richview Road after leaving class Friday.  The high schooler was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.  Police say the student was awake and responsive, but no further updates have been released.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says the body of a man who went missing in Percy Priest Lake is now recovered.  Callers to 911 reported the 25-year-old jumped from a boat into the water Saturday afternoon and never resurfaced.  Rescue crews used a remote vehicle to locate the body around 11:00 p.m. Saturday.  Officials say they are not releasing his identity until family members who live outside the United States can be notified.

A Middle Tennessee elephant sanctuary is being honored with a new postage stamp.  USPS officials joined operators at the Hohenwald facility to unveil the Forever Stamp Friday.  The sanctuary currently houses nine of the pachyderms and has been caring for neglected animals since 1995.  The new elephant stamps are available at post office locations and online.

Organizers are preparing for the start of the Wilson County and Tennessee State Fair in Lebanon this week.  The event kicks off Thursday and runs through August 27th.  Ten stages with live music and various motorsports competitions are planned in addition to the traditional livestock exhibitions.  A complete schedule and ticket information are available at wilson-county-fair-dot-net.
