Police in Clarksville say a pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle last night.  The incident was reported near the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Holiday Drive around 9:00 p.m.  Investigators say the unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.  No information on possible charges has been released.

Middle Tennessee Electric is telling customers to contact them if they’re having trouble paying their utility bills.  It comes as some companies have ended their ban on disconnections for no payment and at a time when energy bills are expected to increase.  The companies say there are programs in place to help customers in need.

The Robertson County government is accepting bids and proposals until July 22 for the sale of two properties owned by the county.  Both properties, located in Springfield, are situated within high-traffic areas suitable for various types of business ventures or land investment.  Those making a bid can also set up a site visit by contacting County Engineer Traye Fann, and assistance with bid procedures can be found through Taylor Tomblin with the Robertson County Finance Office.
