The White House Utility District is issuing a boil notice over concerns about bacteria in the water. According to the utility, the warning comes after the City of Ridgetop Sewer Department connected a wastewater service line to a W-H-U-D water line. Officials say the wastewater line has been disconnected, and crews are regularly flushing and testing the water. W-H-U-D says recent tests did not detect any bacteria, but customers are urged to follow the boil notice as a precaution.

The Springfield Board of Mayor and Alderman has taken the first step to establish new system development fees for the city. As the city of Springfield continues to grow, so does the demand for government services, including transportation, fire, parks, police, water, and wastewater facilities. These new fees aim to account for the expansion and improvement of these essential services to meet the demands of new residential and commercial development. The Board will talk about it some more in their June meeting.
