Fire officials in Clarksville say no one is injured after a massive house fire yesterday evening.  Clarksville and Montgomery County fire crews responded to a residence on Rossview Road in the Stones Manor subdivision.  Investigators say they believe the blaze began in the home’s garage.  No information has been released on the estimated cost of the damage.

Tennessee’s Attorney General isn’t seeking another term in the post.  Attorney General Herbert Slatery has decided to leave office at the end of his current term later this year. Slatery was appointed to the post by then Governor Bill Haslam in 2014.

Fuel prices in the U.S. are hitting record high numbers. GasBuddy reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded topped out at four dollars and 36 cents per gallon yesterday.  The last time prices surged across the country was March 10th, when prices hit four dollars and 35 cents per gallon.  Costs for diesel also set an all-time high, coming in at five dollars and 53 cents per gallon.

The American Red Cross is offering incentives to boost blood donation numbers.  The organization says they are working to bolster reserves as they head into the traditionally slow summer donation season.  Donors who give blood before May 19th will receive a ten-dollar e-gift card, and will be entered to win a camper trailer.  For more information or to register visit red-cross-blood-dot-org.
