Robertson County drivers won’t be getting any help with gas prices form the state.  Governor Bill Lee says there are “no definitive plans” to issue an executive order implementing a moratorium on the state’s gas tax.  Last week, two state lawmakers asked the Governor to put a moratorium on the state’s tax on gas and diesel fuel to help deflate the rising prices during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.  Lee says prices at the pump have been rising since the U.S. stopped pipelines, stopped drilling, and stopped pursuing an energy independence policy.

Everyone is expected to be okay after a two-vehicle crash involving an officer in Clarksville.  Police say the crash happened yesterday afternoon when a van turned in front of the officer.  Both drivers were transported to Tennova Medical Center.  Their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

Folks in Cheatham County are out of time to apply for some forms of assistance following December’s historic tornado outbreak.  The deadline to apply for assistance through FEMA is today.  Today is also the deadline for an SBA small business loan, which is also for homes.  The ARK Community Resource Center in Pegram says it doesn’t want those who need help to fall through the cracks and hopes people will reach out for assistance.

Who Doesn’t Love Dolly Parton has withdrawn her name as a nominee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  The country music icon says she’s extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated but doesn’t feel that she’s earned the right.  Parton says being nominated has inspired her to release a rock album in the future.  Dolly says she hopes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame understands and will be willing to consider her again if she’s ever worthy.
