The Springfield-Robertson County Airport is hosting a Fly-In and Open House this weekend, complete with skydiving demonstrations, and helicopter and hot air balloon rides for visitors. The event is Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is free to attend. Numerous aviation vendors will be in attendance for people to learn more and get involved with flying.  Up to 10 aircraft displays will also be present  during the day.(Source Robertson Connection)

There are nearly 34-hundred new coronavirus cases in Tennessee.  The Tennessee Department of Health reported the new cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to over one-million-220-thousand.  Over 100 additional COVID-19-related deaths were also reported, with the total number standing at more than  15-thousand.  There are 27-hundred COVID-19 hospitalizations in Tennessee. Robertson Countians who enjoy the fall colors should know that Tennessee includes some of the top spots in the country for leaf peeping.  The Travel Channel says the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is among the top places in the country to view fall colors.  Forecasters say the first couple weeks of October are the ideal time to visit the Smokies.  In the Mid-State Montgomery Bell, Radnor Lake, Tims Ford or Pickett CCC Memorial are considered to see vibrant fall foliage. A small fire broke out Tuesday in the chapel at Immaculate Conception School in Clarksville. Investigatirs say some prayer got candles too close to the curtains and breeze ignited the curtains. The fire was quickly extinguished, and there was some smoke damage. Teachers and students evacuated the building, and no injuries were reported. (Source Clarksville NOW)

A Clarksville cemetery is joining this year’s Wreaths Across America event.  Greenwood Cemetery will help support the national nonprofit’s mission to remember, honor, and teach.  Volunteers will place wreaths at gravesites to honor the nation’s fallen to thank them for their service and sacrifice, and teach a new generation about what it takes to live freely.  National Wreaths Across America Day is set for Saturday, December 18th.
