White House city officials now say the Billy S. Hobbs Community Event Center shou;d completed by year’s end. The $8-million, 28,000-square-foot buildingin the White House Municipal Complex, will be the new home to city hall as well as several spaces suited for community use. City offices will transition to the new center, which will retain the name. (Source: Robertson County Connection)

Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center will dedicate the Gold Star Family Memorial Saturday morning at 11:00. This Memorial will be placed at the Orange Heart Memorial and the main entrance of Springfield Memorial Gardens.  The program will include several guests, the Robertson County JROTC will present the colors, and the Robertson County Honor Guard will play “Taps” and present the rifle salute. A survey says Tennessee is tops in the nation for adults with anxiety or depression symptoms.  A survey from the National Center for Health Statistics ending on August 30th found nearly 42 percent of Tennessee adults are dealing with symptoms of anxiety or depression.  Mental health experts in Tennessee say prior to the coronavirus outbreak about one-in-five people needed mental healthcare.  However, since the start of the outbreak they say the number has doubled. Nashville’s NFL stadium will be the home of a Middle Tennessee high school football team tonight.  The Waverly Central High School Tigers will host White House High School at Nissan Stadium.  Waverly Central’s field was destroyed in last month’s deadly flooding in Humphreys County.  The Tennessee Titans will also raise money for Waverly Central during the game. The annual “Autumn in the Brier” event will be held on Sat. Sept 25th from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Greenbrier Historical Society Museum & Library grounds across from Greenbrier City Hall. It happens every autumn in in Greenbrier and is free to attend (Source: Flyer)
