A Tennessee state senator is back home to
continue his recovery from a brain aneurysm.
Kerry Roberts suffered the aneurysm on
October 9th and was released yesterday from
Skyline Medical Center. After some additional
bed rest Senator Roberts is expected to make a
full recovery.

There are over 19-hundred new coronavirus
cases in Tennessee. The Tennessee Department
of Health reported one-thousand-908 new
cases
yesterday, bringing the total since the
outbreak began to over 251-thousand. More
than 40 new coronavirus-related deaths were
also reported. Over 32-hundred deaths have
been attributed to COVID-19 since the outbreak
began. Robertson County data show 2, 640
cases since the start of the pandemic. 2,431 have
recovered, and 44 have died from COVID-19 in
Robertson County.

Officials at Cheatham County Schools say they
are shutting down a bus route until further
notice due to COVID-19. The District said
yesterday that Route Four will not run today out
of an abundance of caution concerning the
virus. The stoppage will affect students at West
Cheatham Elementary, Cheatham Middle
School, and Cheatham County Central High
School. Officials say students can seek other
transportation while the route is shut down or
attend virtual learning.

The deadline for Robertson County high school
seniors to apply for the Tennessee Promise
program
is upcoming. Officials say high school
seniors need to apply by next Monday,
November 2nd
. The Tennessee Promise
program provides two years of free tuition at
any of Tennessee’s community colleges as well
as colleges of applied technology and a handful
of four-year universities. There are no income

or GPA requirements, but you must graduate
from a Tennessee high school and have lived in
the state at least a year.
