At least two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash that shut down a portion of Interstate 65 early Saturday morning in Robertson County.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2018 Hyundai Sonata was traveling south on I-65 in the right lane when, it ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail. It then crossed the interstate and came to a final rest against a concrete barrier wall.   Authorities say a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, that was traveling south, struck two occupants of the Hyundai as they were exiting the car. The two occupants of the Hyundai were also struck by a commercial vehicle that was traveling southbound, according to THP. 33-year-old Aubrey McKee, the driver of the Hyundai, and 33-year-old Bradley Snell, a passenger of the Hyundai, were both killed in the crash. Two other occupants of the Hyundai sustained injures in the crash – the extent of their injuries are not known at this time.

A frozen fruit recall is underway over concerns about possible Hepatitis A contamination.  The recall involves an organic tropical fruit blend sold at Trader Joe’s stores nationwide and organic strawberries sold under five different brand names including Costco’s Kirkland Signature and Aldi’s Simply Nature.  The Oregon-based supplier Scenic Fruit Company said the recall was issued “out of an abundance of caution.”  Customers are being urged to throw away the products or return them for a refund.  No illnesses have been reported.
